Kitty In the Window at Elizabeth's Records in Clintonville
A nice photo posted on Facebook by Elizabeth's Records of the sign I hand-painted for them. It seemed huge when I painted it, but looks small in the window.

Pics from Jerry's Records in Pittsburgh
Pics from my visit to possibly my all-time favorite record store (C-Bus stores, I love you, too!). Aisle after aisle of musical goodies. A veritable warehouse of vinyl, Jerry's Records had LPs that have been on my extensive want list for decades and records I didn't even know existed! To give you an idea of the immensity of the place, their room of 78s was bigger than many record stores! Check it out: http://www.jerrysrecords.com/

Record Stores in Columbus, Ohio, 1995
From the April 20th, 1995 The Other Paper.
The new Buzzard's Nest, alas, never opened and the Record Connection on Hamilton Road is long gone. Ace in the Hole, near the corner of Kenny and Henderson, though, is still going strong.

A Few Pics from Independents' Day 2012
Hafrica, performing on the Lynn Alley Stage. Fast, flowing rhymes! Deserved a bigger crowd.
Old school Hafrica turntable sound.
Cartoonists James Moore and Katie Valeska at the 2 Headed Monster Comics tent.
The friendly Nick Dekker, author of the book Breakfast With Nick, all about C-Bus breakfast joints. Recommended!
Talcott Starr, cartooner of dinosaurs, chats with fans.
Cartoonist Victor Dandridge gets some help setting up the Indie Cartoonists table. Mary and I had taken the first shift.
Mike and Lora brought a tableful of Dreamer goodies to the show. Fans of Lora Innes were in heaven!
It was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect!
Another used record store opens up downtown on October 1st. I'm there!
The new Nix Comics banner. Nice!!

The Signifiers #1 Now Available at Elizabeth's Records
Elizabeth's Records in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio is now selling The Signifiers #1 and will be selling the second issue as soon as printed.
Elizabeth's Records carries a fine selection of affordably priced vinyl, including a local section, 45s and also crates of LPs for two bucks each! I always find something I'm looking for there (two Bowie 12"s and an import Eurythmics 12" I didn't know existed on my last trip there). Elizabeth's is a family-owned store, friendly, knowledgable and supportive of local talent. If you can't tell, I'm highly recommending the joint!
