Rick Brooks Comics from the '90s

Great comics I found in my collection by Richard Paul Brooks Jr.: Dunson County Law and Cutting Class, both from 1995. Cutting Class is kind of a forerunner of Richard's Mr. Morris strip. Not sure if these books are still available.

A Plug from Aldous Huxley

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Aldous Huxley. As the renowned author of Brave New World, I've written quite extensively on the potential follies and achievements of humanity's future.

For example, I take no hesitation in proposing that Michael Neno can draw for you. As you can plainly see, he even drew me. Mr. Neno is available for commissions, assignments and projects involving drawing, designing, painting, coloring, inking and lettering. He can paint your cat, on canvas, or a Centrifugal Bumble-Puppy. He can draw or paint the preferred,
frolickingly animated personage of your dear child's youth, or Obstacle Golf. Original art can make for delightful holiday presents.

You can contact Mr. Neno by direct messaging, emailing or twittering on a whimsical technological tracking and control device I didn't predict, but should have.

Salmagundi

Found this week; my twenty-year old issues of Salmagundi, featuring Galaxion, one of my favorite small press series, by creator Tara Tallan. Also posted: a 1993 Galaxion Christmas card. I'm waaay behind on this series, but am looking forward to getting caught up. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Galaxion/9197671574

My Work Is in the Columbus Monthly!

So cool that Columbus Monthly magazine used art from the chapter I drew with story by Martin Weston and script by Julian Dassai, to open their article about the Short North Posse, "The End of Gangland", by Michelle Sullivan. On stands now! Thanks again, Jean Pitman!

Paul Pope Interview Scheduled for The Signifers No. 3

Excellent news! I just got word from Paul Pope that our '95 interview for The Signifiers Vol. III is a go - no changes needed! This is a long interview which will feature much never before published Pope art. Above: a Pope sketch of Kamandi and Klik-Klak.

The Sex Pistols on the Turntable

On the turntable this week. I bought it as an import 45 in 1979. The orchestral version of "God Save the Queen" is brilliant and shows what good songwriters The Sex Pistols were, even if they didn't want to be.

Cosmic Waves Ad Flyer from the Mid-'90s

A flyer for Drew Ford's Cosmic Waves, circa mid '90s. The flyer isn't dated or tell which issue number's being advertised. I was real happy with the way the "One Small Step" story came out by Troy Hickman, Verl Bond and myself. Also, stories in the issue by Robert Elinskas and J Kevin Carrier. I may have a couple copies of the book for sale.
