The Eleven Best New Films I Saw in 2012
In no particular order:
Looking at the list, there's an emphasis on animated and genre movies. It was a strong year for those categories. Conversely, it seemed to be a weaker year for indie and foreign movies (at least for those shown in central Ohio). I'm looking forward to the release of more dramas along the lines of Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, Margin Call, Little Children and Summer Hours.
I've amended the post to include Roman Polanski's Carnage, another strong entry in his recent director's winning streak.

The History Boys Meet The X-Men!
The final version of the History Boys poster drawn for Available Light Theatre's upcoming performance of the Alan Bennett play. The lettering was done inhouse at ALT, making for a great looking poster!

Recently Read: Comics On Trial - the Kirby Estate vs. Disney/Marvel
Not essential reading, but an interesting document nonetheless.
Just reading the transcripts of Lee, Thomas and Romita, you'd come away thinking that Stan Lee basically plotted most of the '60s Marvel comics which Kirby drew - which doesn't seem to be the case, looking at the evidence (the original art, the printed books and the creative output of Lee and Kirby before and after the '60s).
