The Eleven Best New Films I Saw in 2012

In no particular order:

Looking at the list, there's an emphasis on animated and genre movies. It was a strong year for those categories. Conversely, it seemed to be a weaker year for indie and foreign movies (at least for those shown in central Ohio). I'm looking forward to the release of more dramas along the lines of Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, Margin Call, Little Children and Summer Hours.

I've amended the post to include Roman Polanski's Carnage, another strong entry in his recent director's winning streak.
