Speaking of Westerns at the Wexner...

In September we saw a gorgeous 35mm print of Samuel Fuller's supremely bizarre, over-the-top CinemaScope extravaganza, Forty Guns, featuring Barbara Stanwyck as "the high ridin' woman...with a whip."

Spectrum Culture writes that the film "is too subtly strange and idiosyncratic to be considered hackwork."

Indeed.
