That site, BTW, will be my repository for future posted photo gallery photos as Blogger.com's formatting is acting mighty wacky lately: graphic files and text are showing differently in Preview mode than in the New Post box - and showing differently posted online than in the Preview and New Post box. I've wasted hours trying to wrangle problems with the above and now officially give up.

The Signifiers #2 is live on Kickstarter!
Do check out my new promo video there and consider pledging funds towards printing the continuation of one of 2010's best-reviewed new indie series. Four pledge levels are available, each stocked with merchandise of unignorable comic bookish goodness.
The Signifiers #2 will also feature a new discussion with Tom (Godland) Scioli on the state of comic book distribution!
Check it all out here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1317514173/the-signifiers-2

I did find a 1989 copy of Wade Busby and Ed Vick 's historic Comics Fandom Examiner, a major outlet for small press cartoonist news, reviews and networking in the pre-internet days. Glancing through the issue of Comics F/X at SPACE, I realized several cartoonists therein were present at the con and so set out to get autographs for the zine.

The pencils for my first page: Stan Laurel in an insane asylum.
Thanks to Wild Goose and, especially, Karl Boettcher for hosting the past weekend's 24 Hour Comics event.
This was my first 24-hour event. Now I know what can work and what doesn't (mainly, a text-heavy mini-epic which would take a week to finish!).
In any event, I will be finishing The Tell-Tale Heart, starring Laurel and Hardy.
Sorry, Canada, I took these pics before you arrived!
